Company
This is the company information for SUNBLAZE Corporation. We introduce our mission and vision, our strengths, team, and our history of changes.

Mission / Vision
Mission: “Basic Happiness”
Rather than individual diverse forms of happiness such as hobbies, we conduct research & development and provide services that lead to minimal and public happiness necessary for basic needs like food, clothing, and shelter. The philosophical discussion leading to this can be found here.
Vision: “Be a Public Service”
We will conduct essential business for everyone with scalability like GAFAM. Both social business (social startups) and impact startups have limitations in scale. Social problems arise from market failures and political failures (philosophical discussion on “social problems” can be found here).
We recently held a progress report meeting for the first time in a while, so please feel free to take a look.
Business Areas
In 2016, I founded Amegumi Corporation and attempted to expand the smartphone for emerging countries “SUNBLAZE Phone” in India, Rwanda, Mozambique, Japan and other countries, but was greatly affected by travel restrictions, logistics, user impoverishment, and semiconductor demand due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and closed the business in 2021. After that, I tried to develop SaaS for schools and conducted proof-of-concept experiments for generative AI including RAG with publishers and review management companies. Currently, I am developing AI that can improve non-cognitive abilities (details here).
Representative Tokiwa learned programming and OS engineering from scratch, understands the fundamentals of computer science, and has career experience in graphic design, marketing, data analysis, and PjM/PdM. On the other hand, he researched social issues for 10 years and published “Encyclopedia of Villains“. Since 2023, he has been reading academic books and papers while writing 4 papers on personality psychology, 2 of which have been published in journals. With this knowledge, he aims to solve social problems.

Our Strengths

“Social Issue”
We prioritize public interest in solving unsolved social problems. Since representative Tokiwa is a person affected by social issues, he is dedicated to researching and solving them.

“Science&Technology”
It is important that solutions are correct with causal relationships. Also, social problems scale. Therefore, we utilize technology that can similarly scale.

“Global Business”
By turning solutions into business, we create a sustainable mechanism. Social problems occur all over the world. Our Fukuoka is conducting educational activities in India.
Team

Tokiwa Eisuke
Co-Founder, CEO
Profile
Born in 1991. Escaped from a family environment of poverty and abuse using a smartphone. As someone directly affected, I questioned “why am I in the midst of social problems?” and after 10 years of research, published “Villain Encyclopedia” in 2021. During my research, I made policy recommendations for the Minamata Convention, participated in Japan’s internet election liberalization campaign, participated in Tokushima Prefecture’s app development camp and won the 2nd ICT Tokushima award, participated in a US NPO fundraising conference and created research reports, and raised approximately 1 million yen through crowdfunding to conduct digital art activities. In my career, I studied design and programming at university, worked for 3 years doing data analysis-based marketing at a venture company with 20 million likes on Facebook, and big data analysis consulting at a Yahoo! Japan subsidiary. In 2016, I founded Amegumi Inc. and developed and produced the “SUNBLAZE Phone,” a smartphone with a proprietary OS for emerging countries, but was setback due to the impact of COVID-19. Currently researching psychological scales while developing prototypes for new products. To create a new social system that can achieve “universal basic happiness” in 200-300 years, I am conducting activities to connect to the next generation while I’m alive. Interview article from September 2024 is here.

Fukuoka Kotaro
Co-Founder, Sales in India
Profile
Born in Kumamoto Prefecture in 1989, raised in Aichi Prefecture, moved to Tokyo upon entering the University of Tokyo. Joined the Ministry of Education and wanted to build education that would allow Japanese people to be more active around the world, so studied education as the main focus at university. However, from the third year, feeling the importance of the human inner world, proceeded to the Department of Thought and Culture, focusing on religion and philosophy, and graduated in 2014.
After graduation, instead of getting a job, traveled the world as a backpacker, and seeing the reality of poverty there, found the life purpose of “giving opportunities to those who don’t have them” and “creating a world where people who want to work can work where they want to work.” After that, gained experience at a trading company in Japan, worked at a foreign-affiliated human resources company, and in order to approach “people who want to make efforts but cannot due to external environmental factors,” transferred to an Indian human resources company in June 2018.
Met former Amegumi CEO Tokiwa somewhere in Delhi, discovered that his purpose (mission) was identical to his own and that he had the means to achieve it, participated in the establishment of the Indian corporation and joined as Director. At the same time, engaged in COVID-19 support activities, providing food and medical support to 10,000 people. Established NPO Musubi-Te in 2021 and Indian corporation Musubi-Te Foundation in 2023, involved in activities providing educational opportunities to those without education and women’s support. Currently active in both for-profit and non-profit sectors. Self-proclaimed modern gorilla.
