Why personality assessment?
Some people might find this sudden
Wait, Mr. Tokiwa, weren’t you doing smartphone apps?
What happened to education?
To explain it very simply,
personality assessment bridges everything together.
What I wanted to do with smartphones was
to introduce apps related to work, money, education, and relationships
to users based on their data,
and change users’ lives and destinies.
When I considered smartphones as one type of media,
I also thought of schools as another type of media,
and entered the education industry after smartphones.
I was interested in introducing various information from SaaS based on student data
and changing students’ lives and destinies.
If I continue as an entrepreneur providing services,
I’m not interested unless it’s significant enough to change lives and destinies.
Actually, I myself had my life and destiny changed thanks to smartphones (GAFAM),
and I think without them I would have remained in part-time jobs and the cycle of poverty,
so this experience of having my life and destiny changed is significant.
Now I’ve temporarily stepped away from media like smartphones and schools,
and I’m thinking about what data to base recommendations on and what to recommend.
That is personality.
Personality is composed half of genetics and half of environment.
Among personality traits, for example,
higher conscientiousness leads to better grades and higher salaries,
while higher neuroticism leads to more stress and social problems.
Things correlated with personality are quite closely related to unhappiness and happiness.
This personality is also greatly related to non-cognitive skills,
and since non-cognitive skills affect cognitive skills (like grades),
personality is important in this sense too.
In other words, changing personality changes life and destiny.
Also, the collective personalities of individuals can be considered as social phenomena and problems.
What percentage of people have high conscientiousness, what percentage have high neuroticism,
and therefore this is what the economy and society become like.
This connects to prediction (fortune-telling and simulation).
If we can do this, we can definitively say that changing this part by this much will improve this social problem by this much.
Society is quite large, so I don’t know if it’s possible in my lifetime,
but maybe it’s possible for one company.
For example, this team needs someone with this personality, so let’s hire them.
Business-wise, I’m also targeting that area.
Educationally too, we can improve this part of personality to raise test scores.
It’s also possible to improve empathy toward people, happiness, and stress.
Personality correlation coefficients are quite low like 0.2 or 0.4 compared to natural sciences,
but correlations with various elements have been established, so it serves as a “bridge.”
I wrote “stepping away from media,” but I will create traditional web media,
and I’m also considering creating AI based on those articles.
AI that says do this, do that, based on personality assessment results.
This AI might change many people’s lives and destinies.
I have such expectations.
